This Holiday Serving Bowl was designed with a narrative in mind, which isn't how I typically come up with new designs. I imagine a day in 2064, when a granddaughter notices the serving bowl that's been on her grandmother's Christmas table since she was a little girl. The girl turns the bowl over and sees that it was dated 2024. This bowl is a part of her core holiday memories. It's been there every year, and will be passed down to her so that she can continue making memories on her own Holiday table.
The Holiday Serving bowl is thrown on the potters wheel using white stoneware. Each bowl is hand carved with a festive garland motif and brushed with pigment to create an inlay effect. The bowl is glazed with lead-free glazes - a satin clear on the outside, and a gentle peachy neutral on the inside. It is finally adorned with delicate handpainted 22 karat gold luster bows, which repeat around the rim of the bowl. And of course - each bowl is dated "2024" by hand on the bottom.
Measures approximately 10" wide by 9" tall. Holds approximately 2.25 quarts.
